ONLINE GIVING

First Baptist Church Damascus uses a company named Digigiv for our online donations.

When you click onto the Digigiv link, you will leave the First Baptist Church Damascus website and will go to First Baptist Church's account page with Digigiv. 

All date, contact information, credit card numbers, and transfer to bank information is secured and encrypted by Digigiv’s banking partner to PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance standards.  PCI-DSS Level 1 security rankings have the highest possible security ranking available.

Also, you will need to set up an account to control your online giving. You may give one time, one transaction at a time, or you can set up recurring giving.  This gives you more control and options as you choose to use online giving

Through the Digigiv website, you have the option to give a one time donation or to create an account to maintain your digital giving record.

Processing fees for credit and debit cards are 2.5% of your donation plus a 30¢ transaction fee.

However, you have two options for how these fees may be applied to your donation:

 Option 1.)  You will have the option for the fees to be deducted from your donation.  The church will receive your gift minus the processing and transaction fee.     

            --The total donated will remain tax deductible.

            Example:  $100.00    (Sample donation)

                                -   2.50      (Based on 2.5% of donation)

                                -     .30     (Transaction fee)

                               $  97.20     Total Church Receives

The full $100 gift would be counted as charitable giving.

Option 2.)  You can choose to have fees added to your donation.  This will allow the church to receive your intended gift by incurring costs. 

            --Your Donations + Fees will all be tax deductible.

            Example:  $100.00      (Sample donation)

                                +   2.50     (Based on 2.5% of donation)

                                +     .30     (Transaction fee)

                              $ 102.80     Total Church Receives

$102.80 would be counted as charitable giving.

Note: All increases to online donations to cover processing fees will be considered as part of your charitable donation.

By creating a personal account on Digigiv, you can transfer donations from your bank account. Donations will be transferred directly into FBCD's bank account. Processing for ACH takes about 5 business days for completion. ACH transfers are 30¢ per transaction and you have the option to increase your donation to cover the cost.

Absolutely! You can always give to FBCD by cash or check.  Online giving never takes away your decision to give by traditional means. It simply offers you an easy, additional option.
