Here’s a list of questions that may help you get to know First Baptist Church Damascus better.

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE IS AT 9AM , HELD IN THE SANCTUARY
*A LIST OF ALL AVAILABLE SERVICES & CLASSES CAN BE FOUND BELOW*
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU ARRIVE 10-15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE CLASS OR SERVICE YOU ARE ATTENDING.
WE HAVE PARKING AVAILABLE SURROUNDING ALL SIDES OF OUR CAMPUS. YOU ARE WELCOME TO PARK IN ANY AVAILABLE SPACE. WE ALSO HAVE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING AVAILABLE NEAR THE FRONT OF THE CHURCH.
AS SOON AS YOU WALK THROUGH OUR FRONT DOORS ON A SUNDAY MORNING, YOU CAN VISIT WITH ONE OF OUR FRIENDLY GREETERS TO LEARN ABOUT CLASS LOCATIONS, TIMES, ETC... THEY WILL HEAD YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. OUR GREETERS ARE THERE TO HELP YOU GET SETTLED AND COMFORTABLE. PLEASE LET THEM KNOW IF IT'S YOUR FIRST VISIT SO THEY CAN GIVE YOU A VISITOR CARD. (You may place the completed card in the offering plate or hand to the pastor at the end of the services)
IF YOU ARE ATTENDING A SUNDAY NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME:
- SUNDAY NIGHT WORSHIP BEGINS AT 6:00PM
- SUNDAY NIGHT YOUTH WORSHIP STARTS AT 6:00PM (for students 7th-12th grades) (LOCATED IN THE UPSTAIRS YOUTH ROOM)
IF YOU ARE ATTENDING A WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME:
- THE FIRSTKIDZ / GOSPEL PROJECT KIDS/FirstKIDS MEET IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL (LOCATED BEHIND THE CHURCH)
- THE LIGHTHOUSE YOUTH GROUP MEETS IN THE UPSTAIRS YOUTH ROOM
- THE ADULT BIBLE STUDY IS IN THE SANCUTARY. (ALL TIMES FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHTS ARE 6:30-7:30PM)

*You are welcome to attend any class that you are comfortable with. Please do not hesitate to ask someone for help in pointing you in the right direction for the class you'd like to attend. We would be happy to help!
YOU CAN ENJOY SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE SECURE IN THE COMFORT IN KNOWING YOUR CHILD, TOO, WILL BE LEARNING ABOUT THE LOVE AND GRACE OF JESUS IN OUR CHURCH NURSERY.
- NURSERY IS AVAILABLE FOR LITTLE ONES AGES 0-3YRS
(It is located in the left, backside of the church-at the end of the hallway)
- CHILDREN 4YRS AND UP ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND REGULAR MORNING WORSHIP.
What children benefit from attending regular church services:
1. Spiritual Growth
They begin to understand more about God, worship, and the Bible at a deeper level.
They learn by watching and participating in worship, prayer, and preaching.
2. Sense of Belonging
Being in the main service helps them feel like a valued part of the church family, not separate from it.
They see adults and older believers living out their faith, which sets an example.
3. Building Habits
Attending services regularly helps children form lifelong habits of worship, reverence, and commitment to God.
It teaches discipline and the importance of setting aside time for God.
4. Exposure to Preaching
Even if they don’t understand every word, children pick up truths, stories, and lessons that shape their faith over time.
5. Family Worship
It allows families to worship together, modeling faith and unity at home and in church.
6. Preparation for the Future
As they grow, they won’t feel lost or out of place in adult worship.
It prepares them for youth group, serving, and eventually full participation in the church body.
YOU WILL FIND PEOPLE DRESSED IN A LARGE RANGE OF STYLES FROM COATS & TIES, DRESSES, JEANS & SHIRTS, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. IT'S WHAT'S IN THE HEART THAT MATTERS TO GOD, NOT YOUR APPEARANCE.
